I started The Little Things for myself, as much as anything.

My kids are all in college now, and I found myself wanting a space that felt like mine again. Somewhere to have thoughtful conversations, to be inspired by interesting people, and to bring back the art of taking the time to notice.

The big moments tend to take over. Milestones, headlines, the things that are easy to point to and say this mattered. But the more I pay attention, the more it feels like the smaller ones are actually the whole thing. The messy in-between moments. A dinner that goes long because no one wants to leave the table. A conversation you keep thinking about days later. The quiet satisfaction of a home that feels lived in.

Those are the things I keep thinking about. And they don't get much airtime.

So I'm starting this conversation series. A podcast and Substack for documenting it all. Nothing polished, nothing prescriptive. Just conversations about the details of everyday life that tend to go unnoticed but somehow mean more than you'd expect.

If you're someone who notices the little things too, this is for you.
